The two consoles are offering very similar yet very dissimilar packages. Under the hood, the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 are neck and neck: for example, the former has an eight-core 3.8 GHz AMD Zen 2 CPU and the latter has an eight-core 3.5 GHz AMD Zen 2 CPU. Both offer support for 8K resolutions and 120 frames per second, and the Xbox Series X has a marginal advantage when it comes to its SSD: one terabyte of storage compared to the PlayStation 5’s 825 GB of storage.
