Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto: Where Are They Now?

In the span of just a few model years, wireless integration of Apple CarPlay and Android Auto has gone from rare to widespread. Although most cars still require a conventional tethered USB connection for either integration, dozens of models now offer wireless CarPlay or Android Auto — the latter showing up more recently, but in some cases addable to previous model years via over-the-air updates.
