Virgin Galactic flies its first space tourists

Virgin Galactic is flying its first space tourists — or ‘private astronauts’ as it likes to call them — on its VSS Unity sub-orbital spaceplane. The passengers aboard the craft with a Virgin Galactic crew are Jon Goodwin, an 80-year-old British Olympian who suffers from Parkinson’s, and Keisha Schahaff and Ana Mayers a mother and daughter from Antigua and Barbuda, who won their tickets in a lottery.
