To sum it up, the snipers were actually outperforming assault rifles even at the range at which the latter should trump the former. It’s pretty impressive, in some strange way. In multiplayer matches in Black Ops Cold War, the snipers were dealing out hefty damage (of course), but they were also boasting an extremely rapid aim down sights speed. They were much quicker than other snipers in the series, and this meant that players were having a rather grim time of it if they didn’t get their mitts on a sniper.
