Around 45,000 people in Vietnam lost jobs in electronics manufacturing in the first five months of 2023, as Samsung and others substantially slowed production — A year ago, Samsung and suppliers for Apple and Google were crazy for Vietnam. Now demand for electronics has dropped, pushing some 45,000 people out of work.
